Jackie Smith serves as a Commissioner and Legislative Representative on the Placer County Older Adult Advisory Commission. She is also a member of the California Alliance for Retired Americans and serves on the Sacramento Legislative Team. Jackie is founder and lead organizer of the ‘Senior Summit” Series, which are designed to educate seniors about resources and new legislation in Placer and El Dorado Counties addressing senior issues.
Having spent 12 years supporting the research and development division for a Fortune 500 biotech firm in Santa Clara, Jackie also served as Community Service Coordinator and a Microsoft instructor. Prior to that she held several positions with electronic and semi-conductor manufacturers in the Silicon Valley. Jackie has served on several non-profit boards including Sunburst Projects, Hearts That Care, and the Sacramento Rainbow Chamber of Commerce.
